Management Development Programme

The role of a people manager is difficult at the best of times, and poor people management can lead to toxic workplaces and high absenteeism which puts the team and organisation in jeopardy. This programme is aimed at (new) people managers who want to increase their impact on their teams. The programme is made up of several modules with practical activities, case studies, homework and buddy conversations. The modules are based on real life application and deep discussions between participants which leads to improved connections across the business as well as more confident managers. This programme content and format can be adapted to suit your organisations needs.

Burnout Prevention is better than managing recovery

A little stress can be motivating, but when it becomes prolonged stress it starts to drain energy, motivation, and creativity. Left unmanaged, it can lead to chronic stress and eventually burnout. The Burnout Prevention Workshop will help managers and teams:

About Me

My professional experience ranges from designing functional onboarding for sales and service staff to running Management Development Programmes that enhance emotional intelligence, strategic conflict management, team and stakeholder engagement, change management and coaching and mentoring. The skills and knowledge gained as well as the connections made between participants builds the confidence and competences required to build high performing teams.

My motivation to support people development and growth and prevent burnout is based on life experiences. A first time manager over 25 years ago I still remember the mistakes I made and the lack of support I had. My new manager experience not only impacted me and the people I managed but it rippled through the business. I regret that I was not the manager that my team needed at that time.

Another experience 14 years ago led to burnout. This was a time when there was not a lot of information about burnout and being a career professional who loved my job it scared me because I lost interest in everything professional and personal. I suffered, my team suffered and my family suffered. I have since studied burnout, what it is, why it happens and how to prevent it. And it is my mission to help leaders focus on productivity, performance AND well being so that employees are able to remain resilient, motivated and creative.
